Alexandre R. Lauwers

Welcome to my personal website!

I am an Economist at the European Stability Mechanism (ESM), and holds a Ph.D. in International Economics from The Graduate Institute (IHEID), Geneva.

My research covers topics in international economics, banking, and financial markets. My research interests also lies in monetary and macro-financial policies. 

I hold a MA in economics from Columbia University, MScs in economics and finance from Universite Catholique de Louvain and from the University of Geneva. I have worked previously as a research intern at the IMF, ESM, and WTO, and as a consultant for the ITC.
